Whole class Instrumental Lessons

Whole class instrumental lessons from Gigajam give every student in your class and school the opportunity to play guitar, bass, keyboard & drums. Teachers lead the class and support learning, students work with their instruments and computers; individually, in groups, or at home.

Your students can learn with Gigajam anytime, anywhere by logging on to our online music school. You can be assured of Gigajam’s quality as our award winning lessons and software now support internationally recognised music grades awarded by The University of West London/London College of Music.

Using Gigajam will support the core aims of the National Plan for Music Education as well as meet key Ofsted priorities for music education. Try our guitar lessons, bass lessons, keyboard lessons and drum lessons in your school.

Benefits for you and your students

Online Lessons

Cloud hosted lessons are delivered in the browser. Our music school is always open and is available anytime, anywhere at school and at home.

Blended Learning

Students mix their time developing skills with our software, learning from the lessons and videos, and playing together in bands.

Record & Analyse

Exercises are recorded and stored online through MIDI or Webcams. MIDI exercises are automatically analysed and marked.

Personalised Learning

Students work at their own pace and the progress they make is recorded for them so they always know where they are in the course, and what they need to do to improve. Whether they are learning independently or in a whole class instrumental lesson.

Pupil Portfolios

Our interactive software provides immediate feedback which is used to help students make judgements on how they are progressing, store their work for tracking progress over time, and provide summaries of overall development.

Music Grades

Music grades through Gigajam are awarded by the University of West London/London College of Music and are on the Ofqual register – your school can include the QCF credits in performance tables.

Gigajam in Action

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls, is a selective school with 1250 girls on roll. They play a significant role in the Kent Music Education Hub, Soundhub. We asked Bob Chapman, Head of Music to share his experience, use of Gigajam, thoughts and observations. Gigajam enables whole class instrumental lessons for all of years 7, 8 and 9 with a mixture of music lessons and after school clubs.

Witton Park Academy

Ethan Whittaker is the subject leader for music at Witton Park Academy an average sized secondary school in Blackburn with just under 1,000 students. He is also the Secondary representative for the Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub. We have been using Gigajam at Witton Park Academy since September 2015 in whole class instrumental lessons. Since then we have seen greater participation in music in extra curriculum activities and in the classroom.
